BETTINA ARNDT (LOCAL) BETTINA ARNDT trained as a clinical psychologist before becoming a sex therapist and social commentator. As editor of the influential Forum magazine, she spent ten years talking about sex on television and radio. She then moved on to writing about broader social issues, working as a columnist and feature writer for leading newspapers and magazines. She is the bestselling author of Private Lives, All About Us and Taking Sides. Her new book, The Sex Diaries, uses research to show how couples negotiate their sex supply and deal with the tensions of mismatched desire.
LUCIENNE JOY (LOCAL) LUCIENNE JOY has worked for ABC Radio and 2GB in Australia, Radio Riviera in France, and was for a time head of Radio at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. She worked on Maxine McKew's political campaign to win the seat of Bennelong from PM John Howard in the 2007 election.
MAXINE MCKEW (LOCAL) MAXINE McKEW spent 30 years as a broadcast and print journalist. She is a Walkley and Logie award winner. In 2003 she was awarded a Centenary Medal for services to broadcasting. Maxine’s voluntary activities over the past decade have included chairmanship of the Advisory Council to the National Breast Cancer Centre and membership of the University of Sydney’s Research Institute for Asia Pacific. She has also served as Patron of Osteoporosis Australia and as a member of the Sydney Symphony Council. In 2007 Maxine won the seat of Bennelong at the federal election in a famous victory over the incumbent and then PM, John Howard. Maxine is currently parliamentary secretary for Early Childhood Education and Child Care.
WENDY HARMER (LOCAL) WENDY HARMER is Australia's best-known humorist. She is a mother of two, veteran of countless international comedy festivals and hosted 2DayFM's top-rating Breakfast Show for 11 years. Wendy is the author of the bestselling Farewell My Ovaries and Love and Punishment. She has hosted, written and appeared in a wide variety of TV shows including ABC's Big Gig and In Harmer's Way.
