JAMES MASKALYK (INTERNATIONAL) JAMES MASKALYK is an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto, and editor of the medical journal Open Medicine. He is the author of Six Months in Sudan. His participation is supported by the Canadian Consulate General in Sydney.
CHRISTIAN LANDER (INTERNATIONAL) CHRISTIAN LANDER is the creator of the website Stuff White People Like. He is a PhD dropout who was the 2006 public speaking instructor of the year at Indiana University. He has lived in Toronto, Montreal, Copenhagen, Tucson, Indiana and now Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife, Jess, a photographer who contributed many of the photos in the book.

ANTONY LOEWENSTEIN (LOCAL) ANTONY LOEWENSTEIN is a freelance journalist, author and blogger. He has written for The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, The Guardian, Haaretz, The Nation, Crikey, New Matilda and The Washington Post. Antony contributed a major chapter to the 2004 bestseller Not Happy, John! on the Hanan Ashrawi affair. His bestselling book on the Israel/Palestine conflict, My Israel Question, was shortlisted for the 2007 NSW Premier's Literary Award. His latest book, The Blogging Revolution, is about the Internet in repressive regimes. He is a board member of Macquarie University's Centre for Middle East and North African Studies and an honorary associate at Macquarie University's Department of Politics and International Relations. BEN POBJIE (INTERSTATE) BEN POBJIE is an author, poet and comedian. He writes a weekly satirical column for newmatilda.com. His work has featured in publications as diverse as The Age, The Paradise Anthology and Going Down Swinging. He also maintains two blogs and is a regular comedy and spoken-word performer.
