For the first time ever in Australia, Breaking Bad creator and executive producer Vince Gilligan gives a behind-the-scenes look at the making of one of the most iconic and acclaimed television shows in recent history, hailed as “the best of the 21st century” by Stephen King. In an in-depth conversation with Adam Spencer, Gilligan discusses the incredible Breaking Bad journey from writing the pilot through to winning an Emmy Award for Most Outstanding Drama, and that finale.

Vince Gilligan created and executive produced the awarding-winning and critically-acclaimed drama Breaking Bad. After writing and directing the Breaking Bad pilot, Vince received the Writers Guild Award for Episodic Drama and accepted a Peabody Award honouring the show’s first season. In 2013, Breaking Bad earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama, and was hailed “the best of the 21st century” by Stephen King. Vince is currently working on Better Call Saul, which he co-created with Breaking Bad writer Peter Gould.
Mathematician, comedian, broadcaster Adam Spencer has covered a wide terrain. As a PhD Pure Mathematics student he won Triple Js Raw Comedy Competition and started a 15 year breakfast radio career that ended last December when he hung up the headphones. He is now The Ambassador for Mathematics and Science at The University of Sydney and one of Australia's best known science communicators. adamspencer.com.au
